The Redfoot clan - characterized by their head of red hair - are well known for their wanderlust and bravery. It is customary for young Redfoots to travel out, see the world, and settle down, and as such they have many branches throughout the realms. Pericles Redfoot was born into one such family in a small halfling community on the Sword Coast, and showed from a young age all the appropiate traits of a Redfoot. She grew up exploring and wrestling with boys; and when she was older, enlisted in the militia. She spent several years in this position, defending her home against goblins, orcs, and occasionally human bandits. Through these endless conflicts, she naturally became devout to the faith of Arvoreen, halfling God of War.

Wanderlust soon gripped her when she was twenty, and her family and friends farewelled her with equal joy and sorrow. Specifically, she is interested in the Banites' actions, and seems unhappy at the Thayan's presence in Sundren.

Physically, she is slight, but not frail. She is always dressed in unassumingly clothing; and always seems have a notebook and quill ready in a pocket. Though her knowledge of history is vast, she is only an amateur at magic and is useless in combat. When asked about her unusual name, she cites, with a shadow of a smile, a variety of reasons including cruel parents, inborn wanderlust, dedication to Shaundakul, and avariel heritage.

Her backpack seems to be enchanted with minor wardings to keep off the rain and perhaps lighten the load; and it is full with various books, paper, journals, maps, and more. Her playful tabby, Elminster, sits inside a seperate compartment when he is not out wandering. From the backpack hangs several medallions of deities; including Oghma, Deneir, Shaundakul, Mystra, Azuth, Corelleon Lanthian, Tymora, and many others. How she manages to venerate them all is unknown.

Recently, she has been attacked by someone, found in the Exigo camp naked, and carried to the Temple of Helm. A patch of skin from her back is removed; and general conjecture points to Samantha. Since then, her spirit has seemingly drowned in sorrow, and gone are her light steps or her inquistive eyes, replaced by a deep melancholy.
