'''Description:'''
Rena is a highly energetic but tiny halfling. By most standards, she is beautiful, though she often hides it under hats and simple clothes. Her hair has a particular shine to it, evidence of careful grooming, and her eyes have a certain glint of intelligence in them. Her build is leanly muscled, despite her small size.

When Rena speaks, it is with a very casual accent. Many words she doesn't bother to pronounce correctly, even though she could if she wanted to. Combined with her high pitched voice, she sounds much like a child, but she is often angered by being referred to as such.

Rena's moods vary widely. Most of the time, she is happy, either chatting with friends or reading books. She can boil to anger quickly if provoked, though she rarely acts on it. When she is sad, she most often chooses to hide in books or combat, places where she can let her spirit fly free of her circumstances.

'''History:'''

Rena was born in the city of Waterdeep. Her father had left her mother even before she was born, and then her mother died in childbirth, but not before giving her a name. That would have been the end of the story had the Selunite priestesses at the temple not decided to take her in. She was raised by the church, and as soon as she was old enough, she became one of the Called, a priestess in training. She had a few duties, but she had as much free time. Still, she did not waste much of it, instead choosing to study the many books in their library. Some were filled with history, lore, and others were carefully documented ceremonies and rituals. She eventually widened her knowledge of language so she could read even more.

This environment denied Rena of any sort of childhood. She had time for games, but she chose to focus on her studies as a priestess. She rose to the lowest rank, Touched, very quickly. The more experienced priestesses were uncertain of the wisdom in letting a mere child become a full priestess, but they could not deny her devotion either. By the time she was an adult, she was a Moonbathed Priestess. It was around that time that Elusa, Druidess of Selûne, came to visit Waterdeep for the Conjuring of the Second Moon.

Rena and Elusa's time in Waterdeep together was short lived, but they shared much in that time. Rena had passion and knowledge of Selûne that Elusa had never before seen, and they grew close in those few days. When the time for the ceremony came, Rena even assisted helping Elusa put on the ceremonial dress, though it embarrassed her deeply. When the time came for Elusa to leave, she did so reluctantly, for she feared not get to enjoy such company for a long time.

Two months later, the temple finally chose to send a priestess to Sundren, to represent the church and acquire information about the Banite, Talonan, and especially Sharite activities in the area. While they trusted Elusa, they were still unsure of her abilities. Rena was not a first choice for the assignment, but Elusa insisted. To reduce the risk that the tiny cleric would be attacked and killed, the church gave her basic combat training and suggested the use of an alternate personality. Rena refused to deny her worship of Selûne, so she instead hid her intelligence, wisdom, and strength under the guise of an immature, aspiring young priestess. She chose to identify herself as a Touched Priestess, and adopted the accent and speech of a child of the streets.

'''Current activities:'''

Rena spends much of her time conversing with the people of Sundren. She uses her alternate personality as a tool to uncover the both the most kind hearted and cold hearted people of Sundren. She also ventures into the wilderness to practice her combat skills, which she most often does alone. At other times, she continues to read, though she has expanded to fiction as well as fact.

'''Description:'''
Elusa has been described as a rustic beauty, with soft skin and long, midnight blue hair. Her skin is uncommonly pale by moon elf standards, which has attracted human males on several occasions. She is softly spoken for the most part, except when angered or excited. Her voice has a power to it though, giving her a commanding tone. Her body is lithe, contributing to her skill with a bow, but she is not strong by any standards.
Elusa prides herself in self-reliance. She avoids asking for help, instead preferring to offer her help to others, for mutual benefit. She is kind and friendly to people of all races, but rarely smiles and almost never laughs. She is easily embarrassed, however, especially when comments on her beauty are made. Often this embarrassment manifests itself as anger.
Elusa’s major weaknesses come from her trusting nature and determination. She whole heartedly believes in the ability of a person to change for the better, and she trusts most everyone unless they prove themselves to be untrustworthy. This has led her to make many mistakes, dealing with foes that pretend to be allies. She is also determined to save as many lives as possible, and she never backs down when a friend is in danger. She would sacrifice her own life if it meant a close friend would live.
'''Prior to Sundren:'''
Elusa was abandoned at birth for unknown reasons. She was left to human parents who took her in as their own child. She aged faster than most elves, but her parents were dead before she was even a teenager. She was taken in by an experienced ranger of Selûne, from whom she learned her expert marksman skills and love of the wilderness. Yet even this teacher she outlived. By the time she set out on her own, however, she knew more than enough to travel out on her own. She was still a child, but was as capable as any adult with a bow and arrow.
It was not long after Elusa’s mentor died that the small town was nearly destroyed by raiding orcs. Elusa had been in the forest as the orcs moved through it on their way to the village. Because of her non-threatening appearance and demeanor, she was able to talk her way out of death and secure an agreement between the village and the orcs. Their chief, understanding the value of a skilled diplomat, demanded that Elusa accompany them and serve the tribe. She was not a slave in the true sense of the word. She was given respect by the tribe and plenty of food and other necessities, but not freedom. She learned two languages during her time with the orcs, the tongue of the orcs themselves and the language of her kin, elven. After a decade of servitude, the chief decided that Elusa had paid her debt. She left behind the teachings of Selune and many forged alliances, but she never looked back.
Elusa's travels took her down many paths afterwards. Wherever she went, she took the teachings of Selûne with her, promoting acceptance and tolerance. Though she was still a child by elven standards, she was mentally matured. Over time she became more refined. She kept none of the orcs’ savage influence. Her skills with a bow were highly valued, though her moral code was often looked down upon. She was determined to save every life she could, whether it was worth saving or not, a moral code which she still follows today. In her own words, "No one deserves to die. No one." Still, those years were uneventful. She gained both enemies and friends, but she never stayed in any one place long enough for it to matter. She worshiped Selûne, but as a follower, not a priestess.
'''First arrival at Sundren:'''
Eventually Elusa stayed in one place too long. Her following of Selûne became common knowledge, and it attracted servants of Shar. She was ambushed on the night of a new moon, and she barely escaped with her life. It was by chance that her flight led her to Sundren, and she was finally able to find a safe haven.
Elusa found a place among the citizens of Sundren, though she did not always agree with the government. She opposed the move to ban all Drow from Sundren, a decision which severed several friendships. However, she remained low-key enough to avoid conflict or arrest. During this time, she formed a close friendship with Caelryth Dy'ner. Over several weeks, they became lovers, though their time was suddenly cut short.
'''Captive of Shar:'''
It was only a matter of time before the servants of Shar found Elusa, though it came unexpectedly. A priestess of Shar attempted to kill Elusa, whom she found praying to Selune. However, the shadow of the priestess formed by the moonlight alerted Elusa to her presence, and in the ensuing struggle, Elusa killed the priestess. She only got a short respite, however, before the priestess's cohorts came seeking revenge. They were not satisfied to kill Elusa, and instead kidnapped her, taking her out of Sundren, and into the Underdark. There, in a region of dead magic, they tortured her endlessly. They devastated her body with the dark magics of the shadow weave, only to bring her back to life and continue. They tried to convert her to Shar, but as time went on, her faith only grew stronger.
Elusa's escape was mere coincidence, or fate, whichever the case. The servants of Shar gave up trying to convert her. They assaulted her with dark energies and left her in the Underdark, thinking her dead. Burnt and scared, a lingering curse of the shadow weave had completely blocked her memories. She wandered for days with no food, only finding water in scarce underground pools. She was ready to die when she saw a light. Moonlight lit her path to freedom.
Though she had no memory of her past, pieces came back to her in scattered dreams. Mostly they were unimportant, or worse, memories of her torture. But when the nightmares gave way to peaceful dreams, it was of her time in Sundren with Caelryth. Over the course of several months, she was able to retrace her original path to Sundren, every now and then meeting someone who knew her and who could point her on her way. She walked with a renewed faith in Selûne, transformed from a ranger of Selûne to a druid. Finally she reached the gates of Sundren for the second time, where she lives now.
'''Second arrival in Sundren:'''

Upon her return to Sundren, Elusa searched for Caelryth, but he had left for the Silver Marches. He believed she left because he was a warlock, an unfounded assumption. She was able to contact him through his brother Sehron. Caelryth returned with great haste, but their relationship had to start over. Elusa could not immediately love who she saw as a stranger. Caelryth told her as much of her past as he could remember, but it was not enough. Elusa is still somewhat distant to Caelryth, and she keeps her options open.

'''Current activities:'''

Elusa is officially the leader of the first team tasked with uncovering information about Genum's Cube, but there is no unified effort. The information simply passes to the real or perceived leaders. Elusa doubts her own ability to lead, believing she lacking the knowledge and ability required.

Elusa is currently preparing for the two ceremonies performed by Selûnite clerics, the Conjuring of the Second Moon and the Mystery of the Night. Although she is a druid, she considers herself a priestess of Selûne, but it is not official until she performs the Mystery of the Night. <strike>She often spends her nights praying at a self-built shrine to Selûne within the Untrodden Grounds. Her days are spent patroling the Viridale and attempting to repair the forest, particulary in the Untrodden Grove, where both her cave home and shrine can be found.</strike>

'''Player's notes:'''

For the purposes of important holidays and the phases of the moon, I use real-world dates and moon calendars. The Gregorian calendar dates are converted to real-world dates with some modification. Holidays always occur at the end of the corresponding month, regardless of the number of days in the month. Shieldmeet is held every year, rather than every four, since the server is not likely to be operating four years from now.

'''Quotes:'''

''"All hail the war kitten!"''

Caelryth: ''"Are you always this serious?"''
Elusa: ''"No, sometimes I'm a cat."''

''""If you wish for anything but to live, I cannot help you. But I shall not let you die."''
Greeting: ''"I am called Elusa, druidess of Selune.""
Farewell: ''"May Selune guide your steps in the night, and lead you to the new dawn."''
Summarized Farewell: ''"May Selune light your path."''

Caelryth: ''"Are you always this serious?"''
Elusa: ''"No, sometimes I'm a cat."''

''""If you wish for anything but to live, I cannot help you. But I shall not let you die."''
Yet even this teacher she outlived, as the small town was raided by orcs, who killed everyone but a select few, whom they took as slaves. Elusa was taken in this way, and spent most of her childhood with the orcs, learning their ways and their language. Elusa stood out from the other slaves, however, with her silver tongue and calming attitude. On many occasions she served as a diplomat, and even a soldier in a few rare cases.

Elusa is officially the leader of the second team tasked with uncovering information about Genum's Cube, but unofficially, the leadership role has passed to the halfling Pom. Elusa doubts her own ability to lead, lacking the knowledge and ability required.

After two decades, the orcs finally granted her freedom.
Elusa's travels took her down many paths afterwards. Wherever she went, she took the teachings of Selûne with her, promoting acceptance and tolerance. Though she was still a child by elven standards, she was mentally matured. Her skills with a bow were highly valued, though her moral code was often looked down on.

Elusa is officially the leader of the second team tasked with uncovering information about Genum's Cube, but unofficially, the leadership role has passed to the halfling Pom. Elusa doubts her own ability to lead, lacking the knowledge and ability required.

Elusa: ''"No, sometimes I'm a cat."''

''""If you wish for anything but to live, I cannot help you. But I shall not let you die."''
Shieldmeet is held every year, rather than every four, since the server is not likely to be operating four years from now.

Elusa is officially the leader of the second team tasked with uncovering information about Genum's Cube, but unofficially, the leadership role has passed to the halfling Pom. Elusa doubts her own ability to lead, lacking the knowledge and ability required.

Elusa is currently preparing for the two ceremonies performed by Selûnite clerics, the Conjuring of the Second Moon and the Mystery of the Night. Although she is a druid, she considers herself a priestess of Selûne, but it is not official until she performs the Mystery of the Night. She often spends her nights praying at a self-built shrine to Selûne within the Untrodden Grounds. Her days are spent patroling the Viridale and attempting to repair the forest, particulary in the Untrodden Grove, where both her cave home and shrine can be found.

Caelryth: ''"Are you always this serious?"''
After two decades, the orcs finally granted her freedom.
Elusa's travels took her down many paths afterwards. Wherever she went, she took the teachings of Selûne with her, promoting acceptance and tolerance.
