Dear Duskhome,
Dear Duskthorne,

It has been a very long time since we last saw each other.  I hope you are well.
A tragedy has befallen us.  Do you remember our Academy? It has been burned to the ground.  It sounds unbelievable even as I say it.  A Bushido Academy... burned down!  The tragedy is that our Lord.... the Son of our Lord that we swore once to protect, has betrayed us. As you can probably surmise, Shogun Wusaschi is old and very ill by now so his son Mundur has the power over the government and the country.  He somehow obtained powerful and evil allies that helped him to rise to such might.  He must have feared the Samurai Order so he betrayed his own people and led us into a well-prepared trap.

He send the most of us to the Border of our Country with the mission to face some incoming raiding Orc Clan.  All Lies!  We built our camp in a canyon for the night. It hid us from sight but our position was betrayed!  Our scouts returned saying that an enormous army had us surrounded.  Orcs, humans, and undead led by Necromancers came from all sides.  We had little time to prepare before the assault began.

A hundred Samurais had to face more than a thousand foes.  Our numbers constituted nearly the whole order!  Only the scholars and young ones were left in our Academy.  It was an long and cruel battle that lasted until the morning hours.  As you have witnessed yourself from your last visit, the fighting prowess of a Samurai can slay many times his own number.  Many of our foes fell before us with ease but the Necromancers started to raise the fallen as undead.  It was just too much.  We had no chance and only twelve of us survived --- left for dead by the marauders.

In our dire state, we tried to warn the others at the Academy but it was to late.  When we arrived at the Academy, it was already in flames. The ground was littered with Mundur´s Soldiers as well as most of the adepts.  Even the children were slain!  Mundur's betrayal was complete!  Very few of us remain.  Out of all of this, I only have one good message to relay.  Do you remember my  daughter Kalyope?  She has somehow survived this massacre.  I thank the gods daily for such fortune.

it is long ago since we met each other. I hope you are well in Sundren.
I cannot protect her anymore however. The Necromancers are in the Palace as advisers of Mundur and we are persecuted!  The few of us that survived are now Rronin in hiding and I live in fear about my Daughter. We aim to regain our honor but this is no place for Kalyope. Her apprenticeship is nearly finished but she still has much to learn. I live everyday in fear for her.
We had here all a realy bad time.  Our Acadamy you remember ? It has been burned down.
Yes i know it sounds unbelivabel, a Bushido Acadamy ? Burned Down? Well let me tell you ..our Lord .... excuse me ...the Son of our Lord we sweard once to protect his country, has betryed us.
You must know our old Wusaschi... is old and heavy ill.. so his Son Murdur has the power over the govement and the Country. He must have some powefull evil Allies that helped him to rise such many might to him. Well  he must have feard the Samurai Order so he betryed his own Peopel and lend us into a well prepared Trap.

He send the most of us to the Border of our Country with the mission to face some incoming raiding Orc Clan... All Lies ! We build our camp in a gap canyon for the night. It was the only possibel place to build our camp and of course he knoewed about this.. well in the night some of our scouts returned saying that a unbelivabel hugh army is aproching us , Orcs humans and even necromancer with coupel of Undeath. We could just raises our weapons before their assul began.
I need to ask a favor that you cannot denyI humbly ask that you take her as her master.   She has nobody left and needs a wise mentor and friend. She cannot return here. Please help her in her training. She is an able learner and only needs encouragement and discipline to go on. As her master, she would swear you allegiance.
We had to face not les than 1000 man. And of us where only about 80 Samurais . Nearby the whole Order. Only the scoolars and young ones has left in our Tempel. It was an long and cruel Battel till the morning hours. At the begining our chances looked not bad .we had slayin already about 200 of them....but then the necromancers started rais the fallen one as undeth. We had no chance and only 12 of us could escape over the mountains.

We run as fast as we can back to our tempel to warn the others but it was to late. As we arived the Tempel was already in flames and on the ground lies many death of Mundur´s Soldiers at nealy all of our addepts. Even the children has been slayed. How Cruel! It seems the soldiers has fighted with them with out regardless of the consequencess. Many of them falls but in the End they killed all of us....except oneAnd thats the only good massage on this Day. My Daugter Kaliope you remember ? She has survived this massacre. What a wonder and iam praying evryday thankfully to the Gods for that.
I will regain my honor even if it means my death so my daughter is now your daughterCare for her as you would your own.
Well anyways we are not save here anymore. The Necromancer are in the Palace as Adviser of Muradur and we are persecuted.
The few of us that suvived are hidding and i live in fear about my Daughter. Her aprenticeship is nearly finished but she has still much to learn and it is too dangerus for her here. I live evryday in fear about her that someday one of the assain could aprouch her.
Duskhome iam planing to send her out of the county to sundren where i know her in  a saver Place.

Duskhome can i bag you to have a eye on her? She has nobody in sundren and could need a wise mentor and friend. She can not return for long years so i supose she will made her way as a samurai in sundren. Would you be her Master? She is very talented and i guess your organization can need talentet peopel. Any way as her master she would swear you allegiance. So only you would be her Master.
I bag you for this favour in times of big sorrows , pleas guid her.

I cannot protect her anymore however. The Necromancers are in the Palace as advisers of Mundur and we are persecuted! The few of us that survived are now Rronin in hiding and I live in fear about my Daughter. We aim to regain our honor but this is no place for Kalyope. I will regain my honor even if it means my death so my daughter is now your daughter. Care for her as you would your own.
