This was no surprise to Jarlo, he must have read the stars or some such, for Jarlo knew Spardo was a chosen of Deneir. Jarlo did not let anyone know of Spado's lack of talent. He pretended Spardo's talents were arcane in nature. When Spardo was ten, his parents decided to move. Jarlo convinced them to let Spardo stay in Halruaa. He confided in them that Spardo was special and chosen for some purpose by the gods. It was decided he could stay.
