Brunus is a Grizzled dwarf is a fiery beard and the temper of a rageing giant. His body and face is scarred showing signs of Many battles...and even more Injuries. His left eye is ruined by a deep scar that runs from the top of his fore head to the bottom of his left cheek.

Equipment:

When clad in his plate armor Brunus can best be reffered to as a steel wall, just like any who follow his clans defender traditions, he also carries a masterly crafted warhammer ingraved with magical runes.

The hammer also carries the symbols of its craftsman Kilinar Klenk.

Background Story:

Brunus hails from Ironhold a dwarven clanhold belonging to the Ironbreaker clan,it resides in a lonely mountain surrounded by a permanently frozen lake and vast expanses of frozen plains that lies at northermost point of Icewind dale far beyond the spine of the world.

At a young age all Ironbreakers undergo combat training against the various creatures that inhabit the lands around the clanhold, creatures like orcs, goblins, trolls, ogres, and giants. Brunus was no exception to this and was sent to the training grounds by his mother and father each day.

As the years passed the young dwarves got stronger tougher and more resillient, and as a final trial of passage they were sent into the frozen plains fitted only with a hammer. They were ordered to travel to the human town of East haven and return with a handful of Knucklehead Ivory.

The journey began when Brunus stood outside the massive clanhold gates stareing into the frozen wilderness, after a few hours of traveling the cold started to get to him, his hands became numb and his ears began to sting, the air was so cold that even his beard froze over.

Stumbling through the cold Brunus encountered a gnome engineer struggling against the cold trying to find his way, the gnome spotted the dwarf and asked for help, Brunus agreed to and they headed towards Easthaven together. The gnome introduced himself as Fizzelpot ´´Gearhead´´ Jansen gnomeish engineer and artificer extraordinaire. Brunus intoduced himself aswell and told the gnome where they were headed. Along the way the Fizzelpot and Brunus shared alot of stories and small talk about various subjects.

Clan History:

The Ironbreaker clan was thought extinct by the other clans during the decline of the dwarven kingdoms in the north. The clan itself was famed for its superior defenders who is said to be able to emerge victorious against impossible odd's. Another legend about the clan is that the clan was selected by the dwarven god Clangeddin Silverbbeard to be the guardians of his twin silver axes until the age where the Times of Trouble will return.

Despite the unforgiving enviroment they live in and the enemies that are constantly at their doorstep, the Ironbreaker clan is an openminded clan with respect for most races and beliefs. The clan also have an alliance with the gnomes of lantan whom they trade valuable adamantine and mihthril with in exchange for golems and other mechanical tools of war.

There is a an old dwarven saying that a line of Ironbreaker Defenders is stronger then a 20 feet thick stonewall...and far more deadly.
