Summary:
History-
Osclow was born in Navil, a small town southeast of Neverwinter, known to some for its Shaundakul influence and its taking of a small share of the warmth blessing Neverwinter itself. Though a rather shy bookworm at first, his childhood friends Lilia, Parm, and Esmee helped to bring out a more charismatic and playful side of him. In time, Osclow's feelings for Lilia developed into more than just friendship. However, such was in the case for Parm as well, who was far more open and direct with his feelings. Osclow kept his love silent, even after it was soon revealed that Parm was not much of a husband, or even much of a father to Tia, the daughter he and Lilia bore a year after their marriage.

Though thick and thin, Osclow was always there for the family to comfort the woman he secretly loved and provide the fatherly love to Tia she did not receive from Parm. Osclow simply adored Tia, loving everything about her from her spunky nature to their shared love of books, particularly tales of adventure. Tia often told Osclow how she dreamed of one day owning a huge palace filled to the brim with all the books she could get her hands on.

In time, Parm grew suspicious of Osclow and his wife. Fueled by the mead he had come to be so greatly associated with over the years, he confronted the two as they were talking upon Bluewatch Cliff, a spot they typically frequented. Baseless, drunken accusations turned to rough handling of Lilia. After attempting to literally slap some sense into her intoxicated husband, Parm fell from the cliff taking his wife with him. Osclow tried desperately to save Lilia, but could do nothing more than stare into her sad, fearful eyes as her sleeve tore away.

Osclow blames himself for the death of Lilia and Parm. In his eyes, it was his own inaction that led to their demise. Great was his own sorrow but even greater was the sorrow for the fact that he had taken away the parents of the little girl he had come to love like his own daughter.

Faction(s):

  • Church of Oghma
  • rumored to be working closely with the Church of the Triumvirate

Significant Relationships:

  • Tia Vindel: Osclow's 8 year old adopted daughter. Officially she is the daughter of Lilia and Parm, two of Osclow's childhood friends who died in a tragic accident 2 years ago. Tia's happiness is worth even more to Osclow than his own life.
  • Esmee Vindel: The older sister of Lilia and a childhood friend of Osclow who watches Tia while he is away. Frequently in her letters, she tries to convince Osclow that all Tia truly wants is his safe return. Unfortunately, Osclow is not convinced of this.
  • Fenton Tellens: One of Osclow's best friends and his official partner in business. Though they have only known each other for a short time, they have almost become like brothers, agreeing to split all profits made 50-50.
  • Hano Fetten: A knight of Torm who has done a great deal for the land of Sundren in a short time. In him Osclow sees not only a good friend but a potential hero to fill numerous tales of wonderment and good triumphing over evil.

Miscellaneous Information:

  • The Wiltenholm family has a history of individuals naturally talented in the ways of music, arcane, and adventuring.
  • Though Osclow is recognized by most in Navil to be the guardian of Tia, this is not officially recognized on any government form or record.
