History: Although the Elven Retreat has all but ended, its consequences linger on. Sehlas Tharethvain and the rest of her wood elf village remained behind in the Elven Court long after the Sun and Moon elves had abandoned it. Eventually, the Drow came. Emerging from the Underdark as maggots spawn from shit they invaded and despoiled the forest, taking over abandoned homes and launching a campaign of terror against the few elves that remained.

After almost thirty years of watching their best warriors fall to Drow attacks it was decided that against the hordes of the Underdark their village was no match. That same day the village was abandoned, and Sehlas' retreat began. Her husband dead, Sehlas' only concern was now for her son, Airion.

Hoping that a portal to Evermeet still resided in Myth Drannor the village made their way there, but not before a roving band of dark-hearted humans searching for elven treasures fell upon them. Most of the elves died, the remainder chained together in fool hopes of selling them to the Drow.
