Born into Tethyrian nobility, Jack was an uncooperative child from the start. He got into his first fight at the age of 7, and he openly denounced worshiping a god at 11. Jack's father was a Paladin who fought for the church of Helm, but disappeared during an expedition. Jack's life in Tethyr ended when he lit a fire that escalated out of control, burning down the estate while his mother was away. The fate of his family is unknown to Jack, as he left the ashes remaining of his home that day. He survived as a vagabond along with a couple friends. His reckless behavior and tendency to solve his problems with strength landed him in trouble on more then a few occasions.
