Physical Features/Appearance:

Cruven is not a friendly looking figure, though this does not mean he is ugly. Even though he is a priest and not a total warrior Cruven is muscular and bears pleanty of scars, the most noticeable one being a scar running from just bellow his right ear to the cleft of his chin. His dark brown eyes and dark brown, almost black, hair contrast the paleness of his skin. At all times he can be seen wearing the holy symbol of Garagos around his neck hanging from a necklace made of red tear drop shaped beads. Along with his holy symbol Cruven bears the markers of a priest of Garagos; red boots, red gloves, and a red cape.

Character:

Cruven isn’t a very friendly fellow, put simply Cruven is more of a “shoot first ask questions later” kind of guy. The only people Cruven cares about are his Brothers of Blood, his God, and most importantly himself. Also because of the influence of this corrupt city he was born and the faith he follows Cruven tends to cause problems and seems to have very few morals. Though he may have a bit of a wild attitude Cruven doesn’t do any of his actions for a good or evil reason, he merely does his actions on a whim. Along with no morals Cruven has no loyalties other than to his God, he fights for whoever he feels for what ever reason he chooses weather it be money or for fun.

History:

Being born an orphan in Westgate, Cruven was baptized through fighting for survival. Having no way to pay for his own food Cruven would end up needing to fight for survival, not only by stealing food but also to protect himself in the slums from dirty thugs. By age 13 Cruven had become quite a good brawler for not having any training what so ever, and when a local priest of Garagos witnessed Cruven not only fending off two muggers himself but also mercilessly killing the slower mugger who couldn’t run away fast enough, he instantly took a liking to him.

The priest, Marian Schlachten, approached Cruven and quickly took him in under his wing schooling him in the teachings and dogma of Garagos. Marian almost instantly became like a father to Cruven, for the first time Cruven had a roof over his head and didnt have to steal his food. Eventually Cruven took on the name of his teacher, Schlachten, and started his training to become a priest of Garagos. Quickly Cruven advanced in the teachings of Garagos and eventually was initiated into the Clergy as a Bloodreaver. Once he hit the age of 26 Cruven set out on a mission to spread the strife and also the teachings of Garagos to other areas of Faerûn.

Ever since arrival:

Recently after arriving in the Sundren Valley Cruven gained both friends and foes. He started off acting like most adventurers or free-lance mercenaries going out and doings mindless tasks just to survive. Eventually Cruven started making friends with many folks such as the infamous Mathell or an old wizard by the name of Yevelian. Friendship was a strange thing for Cruven to experience, having been raised in a world of corruption and hate the only friend Cruven ever had was his master, Marian. Naturally Cruven only made a few friends, keeping a good distance from many people not only because they feared his faith but also because friends weren't a necessity to him.

Eventually Cruven heard about the Blackwood Company from a friend, after looking into them he eventually proved to Sergeant Knoll that he was tough enough to work for them. Cruven rapidly moved through the ranks, eventually he met two other mercs, a crazy halfling named Xaayne and a mysterious priest by the name of Valten. Eventually Cruven would become close friends with Valten, entrusting things he normally wouldnt with him.

Eventually Valten would loose his connection to his God and would come approaching Cruven looking for guidance. Not knowing much about many other Dieties other than his own lord, Garagos, Cruven suggested the only other faiths he thought Valten would be interested in, Kelemvor an Hoar. As Valten worked to regain his faith he decided that a mercenary company wouldn't suit him anymore and Cruven gladly processed Valten's resignation. Even though they were no longer working together Cruven and Valten stayed very close, still sharing things with each other that they wouldn't trust to anyone else.

Eventually Cruven would get promoted to Brigadier in rank and eventually get asked to take the job of becoming the head of Hellstrom Castle's security. Shortly after getting his new job assignment he would get promoted yet again to the rank of Guild Elite.

Relationships:

Valten Tussuand: Valten is Cruven's best and probably only true friend. He's always backing Cruven up and because of this Valten is the only person Cruven really shows any true loyalty. Cruven considered Valten almost family, he treats him as if he was his brother.

Kirk Carshby: Kirk and Cruven were friends long before either of them joined their respected factions, and because of this Cruven still sees Kirk as a good friend and contact even if Kirk is considered a wanted man.

Xaayne Zek: Cruven see's a possible Garagosian in Xaayne, no mater how much he denies it, which is the only reason he bothers dealing with the crazy hin.

Ursus: One of Cruven's earliest friends, Ursus is one of the few people that treat Cruven as an equal and not as an enemy or some mindless beast.

Yevelian: Yevelian is somewhat like the little angel sitting on Cruven's shoulder, many times Yevelian has stopped Cruven from doing something he'd regret later on.

Nym, aka Pixie: Cruven having never felt any form of affection for anyone always seems strangely awkward around Nym, a look that one would see on a young boy on a first date. Love being a foreign subject to him, Cruven almost sees Nym as a contract that he has true feelings for. Not only does he enjoy her company but he'd kill anyone who would try to harm her.
