History: In the year 1352 on the 22 day of Kythorn, Syne Jonel came screaming into this world. She was the 2nd child to Synatha, age 30, and Jeral Jonel, age 35. The Jonels had been exiled from their clan, due to the crimes that Syne's father had committed, also causing them to lose their family name. They lived in a 2 bedroom hut on theedge of the Channath Vale. Syne's father, Jeral, was a sorcerer as was his wife and first daughter, Mixica, which they used to survive. As Syne grew her family expected her to show signs of the family ability but to no avail, this inturn made Jeral bitter towards his daughter. As she grew Jeral would punish her for not using magic to accomplish mundane tasks that her sister was able to accomplish with ease. Due to her not having any magical talent, and in a drunken rage, her father Drugged her and tattooed her face with Vines and and leaves. On the eave of her 18th birthday, 22 Kythorn 1370, she snuck out the bedroom window, after drugging her sister with some of the sleeping potion they kept on hand, and started making her own way through life. Syne traveled to the city of Skuld, where she met an old thief by the name of "Cutter", who took her under his wing and taught her everything he knew of being a cut purse. Unfortunately the life didn't suit her so after a year under his tutalage she set off again this time for the port town of Gheldaneth. While working for one of the local Taverns, "The Golden Egg", she unknowingly stumbled on to the assassination of one of the visiting nobles as the assassin was sliding the dagger out of the mans heart. While frozen in fear, the assassin simply wiped the blade on the nobles shirt sleeve and walked out the door past her, as if not seeing her at all. Ever since then she has wanted to have that kind of power and started training herself in the ways of stealth and the way of the blade. A month before her 21st birthday she met the assassin one more time, he was standing on the edge of the clearing outside of town she used as her practice field, as she was going through the motions she taught herself. HE clapped his hands dramatically when she finished and told her that she had become skilled in the blade she had chosen, and that she could one day be as skilled as him, then he simply vanished, afew days after that she boarded the first ship available and found her self in Sundren. And so Syne's story begins........
Character info: Syne is mostly friendly but with a hint of steel to her, she has a quick wit and brains to use it. She is somewhat pretty and the tattoos on her face distract from her light blue eyes that hold a hint of steel. She isn't afraid to push the limits of others, nor is she quick to forgive others, but once her friend she is willing to do just about anything to help. Syne wears a Katana strapped to her back and shurikens loaded on her belt. She usually is seen wearing either her armor or a black outfit, but occasionally you will find her in a purple or black dress.
