Background: Val styles himself as a wanderer - he has travelled much, and has even spent some time in Kara-tur. Selling his trade as a bard, he has managed to survive over the years, and through the nature of his profession has picked up a significant liking for human ale. After spending some time in the Temple to Eilistraee underneath Waterdeep, he caught a ship from Skullport headed to Sundren. Sometime after his arrival, he commenced research in wand-crafting in between his 'wandering', and has (or so he claims) reached the status of Sundren's most prominent Wandmaker.

Personality: Irresponsible, fickle and a rascal at heart, Val is always being cursed by someone, somewhere, and more often than not the person next to him. Yet those who know him are generally taken in by his friendly manner, and are amused by his somewhat deranged nature.

Factions:

• Arcanus Liberus - Supposed to be a leader, but Val appears to have forgotten about this fact.

Significant Relationships:

• Malaclypse Discordia - a good friend, and a mentor of sorts, despite apparent madness. Having found out that Malaclypse is not, in fact, deceased as he had been informed, Val is eager to meet his longtime friend once more.
• Etria - another good friend, recently returned to Sundren. A moon elf, has looked after Val much since his arrival in Sundren.
• Takhla - yet another good friend with an unknown location, and a fellow follower of the Dark Maiden, there was a rift between them for a while when Val was being accused of necromancy. However, last time Val saw her, they parted in good spirits.
• Lida Angelfen - Val feels Lida is a good friend, and tries to help her when he can.
• Colas - a good travelling companion and friend, says Val, but apparently Val has not seen him for some time.
• Elric Gallow - fellow ex-leader of the now seemingly defunct Arcanus Liberus.
• Tellesian Tel'Dorian - another travelling companion.
