Name: Geimhreadh
Faction: Wardens of the Vale
Location: Spine of the World

Summary:
Geimhreadh are the Aurilites within the Wrath of Nature.

Geimhreadh has gone by a few names amongst the locals. The twists from tribal accents and the written word have seen the temple go by names such as Grimreach and Grimhead. While these names are incorrect, they hold something of a truth: the high cold peaks of the spine are a grim place for unwary travelers.

Geimhreadh sits high in the mountains of the spine of the world, offering spectacular views over Aquor and the surrounding lands of Sundren on rare clear days.

Over the past 50 years, the temple has been calling to more and more souls, attracting both the recent converts and the truly dedicated. What this calling is for remains to be seen, but with Auril's reputation, it would be a lot to wish for good news.

Origin/History: Geimhreadh was constructed by a tribe of barbarians. The tribe was small, formerly Uthgardt and from the Cold Wood. But the tribe was conquerred by a group of Aurilite priests. The survivors were forced to convert or die. The converted tribe were led by the Aurilite priests into the Icewind Dale. They had visions of a great castle of ice guarded by five hundred ice golems. The trip was rough, but the warlike tribe, backed by the priests' magic, conquered other villages along the way. They replaced those who fell with fresh blood and continued their march into the mountains. In 1203, they reached an ideal peak. The priests settled the tribe there. The tribe worked hard and completed the temple in five years. They cast those great blocks of glacial ice, now weathered and frosted to a look as hard as stone.

Construction took exceptionally long due to the exquisite, but lifeless, army of ice golems standing guard below. The statues stand in a rectangular 20 X 25 formation. They are seated thirty feet below the temple itself. The statues army has always had legends that surround it, and few are invited into the cavern below to witness them first-hand. In 1330, the tribe revolted. New leadership among the barbarians re-discovered their Uthgardt roots. They went to war among themselves, and the Aurilites were slain. The temple was abandoned as the survivors headed East. The tribe was resettled in 1361 by reminents of the Elk Tribe, formerly led by Heafstaag. After Heafstaag's defeat in an assault on Tentowns, the tribe was splintered. One sect remained near Tentowns. Another followed Wulfgar to reclaim Mithral Hall. A third group disappeared into the Icedale.

It was this third group that was discovered by Eidior and his small group of Auril priests. They too were called to the Dale by visions. Eidor had Lief Ninetrees challenge the champion of the tribe. The champion was slain, and Eidor assumed leadership. She lead them purely by visions into the mountains, where they re-discovered the temple.

Persons of Interest

Name:Damarian
Position:Leader of Nature's Wrath
Class: Druid/Stormlord
Deity: Talos
Age: 43
Race: Human
Alignment: Neutral/Evil

Description:
Damarian is a strong man with red furious hair. He venerates the Lord of Storms for his wrathful acts but understands the need for order within the druid hierarchy. In fact, he believes he can push the council into simply removing all threats against the land by force and takes every opportunity to venerate the furies where possible.

Damarian is the strongest of those in the Wrath of Nature. He does not have a church or a following, but roams the lands alone letting Talos' power speak through him to those that dare challenge him. Though Geimhreadh and the Temple of Umberlee function as separate entities, they all heed his call when action is necessary.

Name: Eidior Durdottir
Title(s): High Hand of Ice
Location: Spine of the World
Age: 38
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Deity: Auril
Alignment: NE
Classes: Druid
Faction / Subfaction: Wardens of the Vale / Wrath of Nature (Geimhreadh)

Summary: Eidior’s role places her at the head of the Nature aspect of Auril, overseeing the first and last storms and liaising with the Grove. She tends to be more thoughtful than the somewhat impetuous than Aelfric, but serves Auril with all of her heart. Much of her time is spent outside of the temple in the open air, and she has worked hard to negotiate a pact with the Grove in the Sundren valley.

A quick witted leader, she looks for the long term in all dealings with the valley. She sees winter as an integral part of the seasons, rather than the end all be all. She's very passionate about the First and Last Storm festivals; and thends to be much shorter tempered and aggressive during these holy times.

Significant Relationships:
Brief relationship with Ninetrees that ended messily. She has moved on and wishes he would. Offers the long term view of things to Aelfric who has a tendency to get caught up in the moment.
